As part of our ongoing mission, we bring standards from the mid 20th century to the blood harmony tradition. This is perhaps one of the most iconic songs that best represents the in-law (Carter Family) /outlaw (Johnny Cash) nature of country music and its roots. Here is our own unique rendition of this American classic.

First written and recorded by Eddie Miller in the mid-late 40's this song has become one of the top ballads of Honky Tonks Golden era. Having been officially covered well over 300 times by top artists across all genres, this song has earned its place as one of the most enduring American standards of all time.
